A note from Mrs. O.
Edgerton Families,
This is a BIG week! Our last week of our fundraiser. We are grateful for all of the support and have passed the halfway mark of our fundraising goal. This Friday, we will have our Enrich the Trails walk in the morning. Please see the schedule below. Parents are invited to walk with their students and can meet their student at Door #7 at their scheduled walking time. Parents do not have to register in the office prior to walking as this is an outside event.
Last year, our PTO collected for the yearly Activity Pass, this allows parents to pay one time for field trips, popcorn and other events. We are hoping that families find this a nice convenience. If you have not yet paid and can do so, we appreciate your participation.
The next few weeks are packed with Fall FUN. The Walk-a-thon is on Friday, Trunk or Treat is next week and our Halloween Parties are on October 30. It is a great time to work in an elementary school!
The Lost and Found is overflowing. We will have all Lost and Found items outside on October 22 during Trunk or Treat. Stop by if you are missing a sweatshirt, lunchbox or random sock. :)

Our School Community-RAMS
This year we are continuing with our RAMS model. The RAMS model recognizes students for being
R: Respectful, A: Accountable, M: Motivated and S: Safe. When we notice these behaviors we pass out Ram tickets and these are used as a raffle (in DK, K and 1st) and as currency for shopping in the school store for our 2nd-5th graders. Last week we had our first school store and some of the top sellers at the store was lunch with Winston, our school dog and ice cream sundae party at recess.
We continue to use the language of respectful, accountable, motivated and safe with all students when redirection is needed and noticing and celebrating when we see positive choices.

We need your help!
Our students need volunteers during lunch and recess. Your involvement makes a significant difference, as research shows children thrive when parents and adults are more engaged.
If you are able to lend a hand, we invite you to sign up for any available time slot(s). Every bit of help counts and goes a long way toward creating a positive experience for our students.
We appreciate your time, effort, and willingness in helping enrich the experience for our children at Edgerton Trails. Should you have any questions about the volunteer process, please feel free to contact me at your convenience. Thank you!
NOTE: ALL volunteers will have to pass the Rockford Public Schools background check for the 2026-2027 school year and are required to complete the Volunteer Consent Form.
